How many Visa payWave transactions can I do one day?
You are able to complete up to 10 payWave transactions per day per card with a daily limit set at $1,000.
Can I use my card at any ATM and what are the fees?
As a Credit Union SA member you have access to more than 3,300 rediATMs including any NAB and Bank of Queensland machine (co-members of the rediATM network).
If you perform transactions using ATMs that are not part of the rediATM network, you may be charged a small fee by the ATM operator.
What’s the difference between Visa Debit card and Visa Credit card?
Both cards allow you to purchase items online, over the phone and in over 30 million shops worldwide. They also allow you to withdraw cash at over 1.4 million ATMs worldwide.
The difference is that when you transact with your Visa Debit Card, funds are deducted from your bank account whereas with a Visa Credit Card you are making purchases on credit and we’ll send you a monthly statement outlining your transactions and the outstanding balance of your account.

Can I use my card overseas?
With a Credit Union SA Visa card, you can shop at tens of millions of merchants across the globe and withdraw your money at over 2.1 million ATMs worldwide. What’s more, you’ll be protected by Visa’s Zero Liability Policy. With Visa's Zero Liability policy, you can get protection from fraudulent charges made with your card or account information. This means you can pay with total confidence, knowing you are protected against unauthorised use.

Are there any fees for using Visa payWave?
There are no fees for setting up or using the payWave feature on your card. PayWave transactions are treated exactly the same as payments made using the ‘credit’ selection at a terminal.
Can I use my Visa payWave card at ATMs?
Yes, the Visa payWave feature on your card will not affect how you normally use your card in an ATM. You will still be required to enter your PIN number to process a transaction.
How do I order a card?
What do I need to do if my card is damaged, stops working, is lost or stolen?
If your Credit Union SA rediCARD or Visa Card is lost or stolen, report it immediately to have the card cancelled.
For cards lost or stolen in Australia
- Call our Head Office on 8202 7777 (during business hours) to notify us of a lost or stolen card and to request a replacement card.
- If after hours: Call the 24-Hour Card Hotline on 1800 648 027 (and then contact the Credit Union SA Head Office during business hours to order a replacement card)
For cards lost or stolen overseas
First call +61 2 8299 9101 to cancel your card, then:
- +61 8 8202 7777 (access code required) during business hours (Australian Central Standard Time) to request a replacement card OR
- Send us a signed fax on +61 8 8211 9457 with your request and current location (for delivery of replacement card).

What happens if I lose my card or it is stolen?
Visa cardholders enjoy peace of mind with the benefit of Visa’s unique zero liability policy which means 100% card holder payment protection. You will not be held liable for any transactions performed without your permission, as long as you take reasonable care when using your card* and immediately contact Credit Union SA in the event that your card is lost, stolen or you notice unauthorised transactions performed on your account.

What do I need to be able to use Visa payWave?
All you need is a Visa card with the payWave feature. All new Credit Union SA Visa cards are issued with payWave enabled.
How do I change my PIN?
You can update your Personal Identification Number (PIN) through your Mobile Banking App or Internet Banking.
To update your PIN via the Mobile Banking App, go to the left side menu and select ‘Card Management’ and select the card you want and then select ‘Change card PIN’ and ‘Change’.
To update in your Internet Banking, select the ‘Cards’ tab from the top of the screen, then Card Management’ from the drop down menu. Enter your Two-Factor Authentication if / when prompted. Click on the drop down arrow and select the card number you wish to change the PIN on and select the radio button ‘Change my card’s PIN Confirm’.
Your PIN will be updated immediately.
