How can the data from a Joint Account be shared with the authorisation of only one Account holder?

We are required to follow the Consumer Data Right legislation, which mandates that only one Account holder from a Joint Account is required to authorise data sharing.

Joint Account data can be authorised for sharing by any Joint Account holder, unless:

  • The Account is not eligible for data sharing; or
  • Either Joint Account owner has disabled data sharing.

Both Account holders will be forwarded an e-mail when another Account holder shares your joint data. To receive this email make sure your Joint Account notifications are active.
