Who doesn’t love to eat?
And there’s no better time or excuse to gorge than over the festive season!
So we asked our team to give us their favourite spots to eat in Adelaide, and here’s what they gave us…
Gin Long Canteen
42 O'Connell Street, North Adelaide
Emma, Digital Marketing Specialist
A vibrant and funky eatery full of personality that offers amazing South East Asian inspired food and cocktails with a twist. You can’t go past their lychee duck curry, lobster sliders or salt and pepper tofu. The best part is that most of their dishes have been designed to share – so you can taste a bit of everything, and trust me you’ll want to!
Amalfi
29 Frome St, Adelaide
Ben, Product Manager
In the heart of Adelaide’s CBD, is Amalfi Pizzeria Ristorante, AKA Amalfi’s on Frome Street. It’s not quite the Amalfi Coast but they’ve been there since 1981 and their food is always fresh, delicious and made from local ingredients. The menu has barely changed in 35 years and the wine list features an incredible range of Australian and Italian wines – or you can BYO bottle for $20!
Ballaboosta
289 Halifax St, Adelaide
Hande, Experience Design Researcher
Ballaboosta has a relaxed and warming atmosphere where you can enjoy delicious coffee and wonderful food - just like mama makes. Inspired by flavours of the Mediterranean and Middle East, Ballaboosta offers a range of homemade pizzas, tapas, mezze’s and sweets. And don’t forget to grab yourself a cheeky Lebanese Pilsner to bring it all together!
Ragi’s spice kitchen
3/210 Hutt Street Adelaide 5000
Finn, Marketing Manager
Have you been looking for the ultimate vegan treat? Well then you need to try Ragini’s vegan Naanchos. What the heck are Naanchos, I hear you ask? Naanchos are crispy fried naan bread pieces topped with spiced vegetables, lentils or spinach (or all of the above) smothered in a creamy tomato fenugreek sauce (think butter chicken sauce), finished with 'torched vegan cheddar'. Beware – they are highly addictive! Meat options are also available.
Melt
38 Waymouth Street, Adelaide
269 Seaview Road, Henley Beach
1/160 King William Road, Hyde Park
Kate, Marketing & Graphic Design Specialist
You know a restaurant’s pretty special when it starts off as one little pizzeria, then grows into three separate restaurants. No longer just focusing on pizza, Melt now features a tasty tapas menu that regularly changes. It’s the perfect place to catch up with friends and tuck into some seriously sensational food and wine! Best of all, you no longer have to come into the CBD – you can now enjoy a Melt experience at Henley and Hyde Park!
