School Community Rewards in action at Woodcroft Primary School
14 Aug 2017
School fundraising can be difficult, with the time and effort required a constant challenge for time-poor parents and teachers.
Credit Union SA’s School Community Rewards program has been developed to ease the burden of school led fundraising, and since joining the program in 2014, Woodcroft Primary School hasn’t looked back.
Jenny Berry has been on Woodcroft Primary School’s Governing Council for six years and had the following to say about Credit Union SA’s School Community Rewards.
“For us Credit Union SA’s School Community Rewards program has really taken the pressure off our parent community for our fundraising.
Since we’ve started the program we’ve received $23,000, and it just keeps growing! Best thing is we can use the money for whatever we like. We’ve chosen to use it for fitness equipment that the kids love, which we couldn’t have otherwise afforded.” Jenny said.
Credit Union SA’s School Community Rewards program provides regular financial benefits to participating schools, without parents or teachers having to donate any time or money. Members of the school community simply take out a Credit Union SA product – credit card, savings account, home or personal loan, insurance or more – nominate their participating school as their School Community Rewards beneficiary, and Credit Union SA will regularly donate a portion of profits back to the school.
“This has been a really great program for Woodcroft Primary School. There’s been no contribution in terms of time or money from our parents, and it’s been a great benefit to the whole school community.” Jenny said.
